About Return to Moria Dedicated Server

A self-contained Docker stack for hosting your own Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria server — no manual SteamCMD fiddling required.

What you get

  • Dockerfile based on ghcr.io/ptero-eggs/yolks:wine_latest
  • entrypoint.sh that bootstraps SteamCMD, installs/updates the server, and starts it via Wine
  • docker-compose.yml with a persisted ./data volume so game state survives restart
  • .env.example with all knobs — server name, port, password, update policy

How it works

On the first run, the container downloads SteamCMD and the dedicated server files into ./data. From then on, it can auto-update (configurable) and starts the server under Wine. The image itself stays small; the heavy lifting lives on the host's disk.

Compatibility

Tested on Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS. Should run on any modern x86_64 Linux box with Docker installed.
